This photography workshop is focused on providing participants with another way to approach and experience travel photography or documentary photography. Photography can be a great transmitter of values inherent in what surrounds us and in turn, our own account of the journey. If we photograph the same as the rest, we’re quieting our own feelings.
We want to generate a space for discussion, reflection and story creation. Learn and unlearn, question what photography is and what purpose we give it. To this end, a series of exercises will be considered that aim to get rid of the urgency of showing others, photographing for oneself and working on the personal vision of a shared environment. What do you see? What are you looking at? How do you feel? Try to transmit it through the image.
Enjoy a different way of getting to know Granada with our local educators, art historians and heritage interpreters, in a 3.5h activity adaptable to the group.
We explore different areas of the carmen, contextualizing each of them. We stroll through the gardens that develop over the ancient Camp of captives, a dungeon used in Muslim times to lock up Christian prisoners. We will approach this mecca of Granaline Romanticism enjoying the presence of exotic animals and unique perspectives.
We recommend coming with an open and critical mindset, comfortable footwear and water. Important to bring charged mobile phones and cameras!
