Art can be a powerful lens to get to know different cultures and understand their people. In this case, Flamenco is one of the most traditional and unique artistic disciplines in Andalusia and one of the best ways to immerse ourselves in its culture.
The main objective of this class is to bring this art closer to groups of people outside the Flemish world. Give notions about its provenance, what are its most basic rhythms and bars.
Flamenco shines with a captivating aesthetic born of gypsy culture in Andalusia, an aesthetic full of strength, sensuality, spirit and above all, elf. In his expression we find: feast, denunciation, sadness, anguish, reflections, philosophy, criticism, and endless reflections of the reality of life itself. Being a living art is constantly evolving, always respectful of its origins and open in turn to other currents and influences.
This 2-hour workshop will be in a traditional Granada cave, an old building of more than 300 years, in the old lamb workshop of the Cuna house. The teacher of the Workshop will be Chúa Alba, dancer and teacher for more than 30 years who loves teaching deeply and continues to carry her workshops in many countries, highlighting this Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
